Please Read This as it has been brought to our Attention by Numerous Dissatisfied Customers who thought they bought an actual 500 Series Box that CPP created only to find out its a cheap made Knock off that doesn’t function properly. The issues are Endless with these boxes and all i can do is try to educate the Consumer that if the Box doesn’t say » 500 Series» on the casting its not the real deal (as pictured below for reference) Also i posted a reference picture of the actual corrugated cardboard shipping boxes to show you that if it is not delivered in this box it is also a fake! In 2005 CPP created this box and it has become truly the industry favorite and we truly feel horrible to see people spend there hard earned money on something made so poorly and to ever be confused with our steering box, in all honesty its Insulting and its Fraud! . I certainly hope this reaches the Clueless consumer before he or she is suckered into nothing more than a Cheap Steering Box that has issues even before installed in Your Vehicle. There is only one Company on the Planet who Manufactures the REAL 500 Series Steering Box and that is CPP. CPP’s 500-series steering box is a 14:1 ratio unit and is a direct bolt on for factory manual / power steering cars. Will require a rag joint. The 500 Series™ Box Features: 100% Brand New Parts (nothing rebuilt) No Fabrication NEEDED! (bolts directly to frame rail) 3 1/2″ lock to lock — 14.1 ratio 11/16″ pressure port and 5/8″ return port (flared fittings, adapters included) 3/4″-30 input shaft Utilizes factory power steering pitman arm Superior directional control Improved road feedback Increased steering response (CPP Engineered) with recirculating ball gears which provide low friction operation Open-centered, rotary-type valve (smooth operation throughout the steering range) Notice that the mounting bosses are integrated into the casting, eliminating the need for an external bracket Includes power steering filter kit! Includes O-ring adapters for factory hoses! This new power steering conversion gearbox is a modern alternative to the popular but outdated 800 box. The 500-Series box provides superior directional control and road feedback, as well as a more stable/comfortable feel for the driver. CPP engineered the recirculating ball gears for low friction and increased steering response. An open centered, rotary type valve provides smooth operation throughout the steering range while retaining excellent road feel. Notice that the mounting bosses are integrated into the casting, eliminating the need for an external bracket. Also, it will line up perfectly to your column without shims or spacers. Other boxes on the market are rebuilt units, while the 500-Series is a brand new box with a new housing, new internals, new gaskets, and new seals. This is the very best gearbox available to upgrade your Camaro! The output shaft is 3/4-30, it utilizes a factory power steering pitman arm, and the box is setup for flared fittings not o-ring, what more could you ask for? *NOTE: Beware of auctions selling a similar product.
