11.23 updated BT462 UHF Short Stubby High Performance Antenna Made specifically for the BAOFENG TECH and BTECH GMRS Portable Radios Tuned to cover the whole UHF GMRS / FRS 462 to 468 MHz frequency range With Absolute Maximum Performance If you are looking for more performance than the OEM or any other aftermarket mass produced portable antenna with outrageous “claim to achieve” you are in the right place. Even though our tuned antenna height is only 2-inches tall, the actual performance will outperform most larger antennas that are NOT tuned. Our BT462 antenna is tuned by us to cover ALL of the simplex and ALL of the repeater frequencies used in the GMRS / FRS radio band with great results. This listing is for brand one new UHF Stubby antenna that is custom fine-tuned by hand with lab grade equipment to specifically cover only the 462 to 468 MHz frequency range with an excellent VSWR of 1.3:1 or better for true high performance communications range. Due to the much improved VSWR our antenna will reduce the current draw on the portable radio battery during transmit for a longer battery run time. The tuning of the antenna also helps the receiver reject unwanted signals outside of the GMRS band for clearer GMRS signals. We include a 90 day limited warranty against any defects in materials or workmanship. Our antenna is made to work with the following BAOFENG UHF GMRS radio models; G11S, M-15 PRO GMRS, GMRS-V1, GMRS-V2, GMRS-PRO, and MP31 The Facts: A Much Bigger Untuned antenna is usually NOT BETTER, just Really Big! The BTECH GMRS-V1 portable radio shown in the photo is shown for reference only and is not included. Our custom tuned UHF antennas have greatly improved communications for all business, consumer, commercial, fire, GMRS 462-468 MHz, government, industrial, public safety, police, and rescue radio users who operate in the shared UHF 406 to 512 MHz radio band. Our BT462 antenna is only 2.0 inches tall with a final height tolerance of plus or minus 0.125 of an inch as measured from the bottom of the weather skirt to the top cap of the antenna. The antenna covering is made of black flexible PVC and has a bottom weather skirt to protect the SMA male RF connection on the radio housing. We silver solder all reworked internal antenna connections. The bottom of the antenna is ID color coded with a Blue & Green dot. The retuning of the antenna achieves a minimum signal gain of up to +3 dB that will effectively double your transmit and receive signal power due to the very low VSWR and excellent 50 ohm impedance match as compared to any untuned antenna. Our retuning also allows for a much smaller antenna height without any loss of performance by eliminating all of the unused open space inside the antenna covering.
