Some E5500 hardware configurations are different so we have saved alternative drivers to the hard drive. The buyer must have a product key for the exact version of Windows installed. We are not selling you any software. Comes with instructions on how to install the hard drive and validate Windows with your product key. The buyer must have a Microsoft Product Key for the exact version of the installed operating system. This hard drive is for the Dell E5500 laptop only and will not boot up in most other laptops due to the SATA settings. These hard drives are for people who purchased a laptop with no hard drive or whose hard drives have crashed and do not have the Windows DVD to reinstall the operating system, but do have a Windows Product Key for the exact version of the operating system installed on this hard drive. A product key for any other version of Windows will not validate Windows 7 Professional.
