DRITZ SCOVILL BOUND BUTTONHOLE MAKER VINTAGE TOOL — c1960s — PART # 556 This is a Dritz Bound Buttonhole maker, a vintage sewing tool that’s been out of production for some time and is increasingly hard to find. This was my mom’s and from what she can remember (she’s now 92!), it was a Godsend. There are excellent tutorials all over the Interwebs as the instructions that came with it are long since lost. I’m working on re-creating them from images of the original instruction cards online and will add images of them to the gallery as I complete them. While the tool is called a “bound buttonhole maker” on the package, it’s main job is really to hold things in place while you stitch. And it does that admirably well. If you’ve always wanted one of these, or you’ve lost or damaged the one you had, then here’s the listing for you! According to other listings online, this tool will work with most if not all consumer-level Singer sewing machines. But buyer must be responsible for knowing whether this will fit their specific machine. Item is non-returnable. Be sure to check out ALL of my sewing accessories.
