The Story: A high-priced call girl is murdered, and it is up to the tom-boy police woman Cindy Hannen (Massey) to go undercover as a prostitute to find the killer. Along the way, she discovers a «sexy» side of herself that she didn’t know she had. Comments: One of very best B-Movies… no exaggeration! You need three things to have a good B-Movie. First you need sizzle (Undercover has lots of it). You need a face-passed story without a lot of dialogue or difficult plot (Undercover is far from confusing). Finally, you need a strong lead actress that can act. Athena Massey not only carried this film, but it made her into a Hollywood sex symbol. There is also a good supporting cast that doesn’t detract from the film. For example: Meg Foster (‘frosty eyes’ from The Osterman Weekend, The Wind) makes a great Madam and Tom Tayback (Grizzly Adams) is a believable police sergeant. Director Gregory Dark, with over 80 films to his credit, knows his craft: how to make a simple, entertaining film to keep your attention at 3:00 AM! Per the label, the film has 95 minutes running time — a bit longer and a much better digitization than the US A-Pix / Simitar release (which is not saying a lot). The film is presented in full screen 4:3 format; English audio only. This movie-on-demand MOD archive title on recorded media is new and factory sealed.
