Here’s an EXCELLENT Stetson — WIDE BRIM — Black cowboy hat, size 7-1/2 — 4X Buffalo Felt. There is still the original label inside and this was only worn less than a handful of times and put away.We don’t know why the pictures show anything but a FLAT BRIM! The brim is COMPLETELY FLAT! There are NO curves or bends! It might just be the picture angles? We laid the hat on a flat table and it lays perfectly FLAT! If you want a Shovel style brim steamed into the brim please write to us after you buy it. Previously we did custom shaping when “Interested buyers asked” but afterwards they just wanted to see what it looked like. It takes a bit of time and work to reshape a hat, that’s not an issue but then having to reshape it back to the original shape afterwards takes even more time. You will need to imagine what it looks like with the steam shaping you’d like done. We have NEVER failed to deliver what is possible. After you buy that hat and before we ship it we will send you pictures for your approval. If you have any questions about this please write to us.So the original shape had a flat crown but my son wanted that Telescope Crown making this appear to be that Clint Eastwood styled hat you’ll see in the Trilogy of Movies: «For a Few Dollars More» and «The Good, the Bad and the Ugly» and «The Good, the Bad and the Ugly». Angel Eyes is a character from TGTBATU played by Lee Van Cleef. For a Few Dollars also has Lee Van Cleef playing Col. Douglas Mortimer. They are not the same character. So if you want to see this near duplicate hat in these movies they are definitely worth the watch! This could easily be steamed into an Open Crown or even steam in a pinched crown! This is a perfect 7-1/2 at 23-1/2 inches. It’s also states Regular Oval.If this was worn it was very rarely. We hid NOTHING in the pictures! You can see the leather sweatband appears unworn but this has been sitting on display shelf for a couple of years. The picture of the whole underside is the best representation of the actual color — Black. The hat is ALL BLACK! We don’t know why some pictures are coming out so light? We just cannot seem to get consistent colors when taking pictures! Any suggestions? Please write to us.This is made from a 4X Buffalo Felt. It’s very soft and thick material and feels sturdier than the Beaver Material. We just don’t have much experience with Buffalo Felt. If someone out there could help us buy telling when Stetson started using Buffalo Felt and why we sure would love to hear back from you.Once dad and grandson steamed this into an Open Crown they both agreed that because of the brim shape this would look great as a Telescope Crown! So that shape was steamed into the hat. If you’d like an Open Crown or a Pinched Crown please write and ask us to steam it that way.NOTE: because of that WIDE 4 inche Brim, The hat is BIG so shipping is a couple of dollars more than we usually charge. At over 16-1/2 inches in length it will require a Larger Shipping box. We DO NOT SQUEEZE hats into boxes they DO NOT fit perfectly into!
