Originally titled “John Denver’s Rocky Mountain High” was recently digitized from the original film negative with its original audio tracks digitally remastered as well for PBS that aired this feature back on the 25th of February 2023. The concert features Denver, one of the world’s best-known and best-loved artists in his prime performing at this stunning outdoor venue featuring many of Denver’s hits of the time. This concert is a real nostalgic time capsule as it captures John Denver at his peak of popularity. His loving Colorado crowd enthusiastically welcomes him on stage. Historically this concert should be noted because it features a massive multi member orchestra. The orchestra performing with John only enhances the composition of his many hits that he performs in this one of kind performance. The concert features various visual vignettes throughout each song evoking an almost filmic quality to the performances bringing the concert to a higher level; elevating it beyond a standard concert film. Denver has sold over 33 million records, earned seven Billboard Top Ten Albums in the U.S., and has notched seven multi-Platinum, 13 Platinum and 20 Gold certified albums.
