No soldering is required, so even beginners can assemble it quickly and enjoy your favorite music in high quality. [Make a headphone amplifier with your own hands] The HA-S DIY kit requires no soldering at all, making it easy and fun to make a headphone amplifier. What’s more, this amplifier delivers the authentic vacuum tube sound that audiophiles love. [Equipped with Nutube] Nutube is a fully analog next-generation vacuum tube jointly developed by KORG and Noritake Electronics. Like conventional vacuum tubes, Nutube is composed of an anode, grid, and filament and operates as a complete triode. Nutube achieves the same rich harmonic characteristics as conventional vacuum tubes in a smaller, more stable, and more energy-efficient way. The HA-S is light and compact, with a case design that allows the light of Nutube to shine through, making it the perfect choice for carrying high-quality audio. Energy saving By using a DC-DC converter, the filament power is efficiently converted when generating it from a battery. This reduces current consumption and improves battery life. However, there is no compromise on the sound. The HA-S can generate a 26 V line voltage with just two AA batteries to drive the Nutube, achieving a rich, authentic vacuum tube sound! [Possibilities for tone] The HA-S is equipped with an NFB (negative feedback) switch. This switch allows you to switch between a high-quality clean and clear sound and a warm, overtone-rich vacuum tube sound. When the negative feedback switch is OFF, the circuit is feedback-free, and the harmonics of the Nutube (triode tube) are enhanced, producing a richer, more vacuum tube-like sound. Turning the NFB switch on reduces distortion and overtones, resulting in a more «hi-fi» sound. Two types of output stage op-amps are included to change the sound. There are two types: JRC’s premium audio-oriented «MUSES01» and the orthodox «NJM4580». These can be easily replaced using IC sockets. In addition, a circuit diagram is included, allowing for customization. By changing the parts to higher quality parts, there are infinite possibilities for easily creating your own headphone amplifier that matches your desired tone and performance.
