You are bidding on one iron or blade or cutter for a variety of Millers Falls wood block planes as pictured. It is marked with «MILLERS FALLS CO MILLERS FALLS TOOLS SINCE 1868 GREENFIELD MASS MADE IN USA» in their usual logo. This would be for a Number 15 or 16 or 75 or several other similar block planes. It has the center slot and the notches on the back side for the adjuster.Width of the iron is about 1-5/8″, and overall length is about 4-7/16″. There is about 1-1/8″ between the sharp edge and the bottom of the slot. Condition is fair, with quite a bit of scattered patina (color) and scattered light or faint pitting. SHIPPING: Under 1 pound, shipped in a padded envelope, shipped US Postal Service Ground Advantage, insurance is included. The Post Office now has several prices increases during each year, raising a few things but not everything at each increase. And they now raise their rates during the Holidays, which means early October to late January. Their big increases are in January, timed to start at the end of the Holiday rates, and this year is no exception. And it’s not just the postage rates, the insurance charges and the delivery signature charges have also gone up. There is now a surcharge for Priority Mail packages over 20″ long, and another for Priority Mail packages over 30″ long, because those longer packages won’t fit in their automatic machines. And the Post Office has discontinued the Regional Flat Rate boxes, which were often less expensive for certain sizes and weights. I try to pick the best shipping option for each listing, based both on what is the least expensive and on what I think is needed to protect the item.
