Up for grabs is the holy grail of EL34 6CA7 tubes! Ultra rare set of NOS/NIB Philips / Mullard Metal Base EL34 / 6CA7 tubes. Made in Holland. Labeled for distribution by Mullard as a subsidiary of Philips Electronics. These particular tubes, in this kind of MINT UNTOUCHED condition are all but “un-obtainium” in this day and age. Virtually impossible to find NIB like this set. PERFECT tubes in every respect! These 2 tubes make up a Platinum MATCHED pair together. Welded plates, huge foil disk getters and pristine metal encased brown micanol bases. Widely considered the best sounding EL34 6CA7 vintage tubes that were ever produced and very long lasting. Circa: 1956 and are a DATE/BATCH MATCHED set with codes of SYI/56K for both tubes. Testing is absolute perfection on these 2 tubes as shown. 3x tested employing the highly respected AVO 163 and Amplitrex AT-1000 testers with all results shown in the attached photos. Also featured and displayed while under test on the DIVO tester with both tubes each individually receiving a high numerical grade of 9 and showing yet again to be a perfectly MATCHED pair on this tester as well. Fully parameter testing for Gm, Em, Gas and Shorts with outstanding results as shown. Mullard white shield labels are excellent and beautifully intact as pictured. Tubes are in pristine condition top to bottom. Tubes will ship professionally packed in their original 60+ year old Mullard boxes and wrappings which show some naturally expected aging.
